Calderdale Saddle Club is an adult only riding club affiliated to British Riding Clubs. We have around 100 members throughout Calderdale with an age ranging from 18 to 70! Our aim is to promote training and welfare for both horse and rider and have a lot of fun along the way. If you love horses and want to share time with like-minded people then please come and join us!

BRC test Riding and Welfare 1
Calderdale Saddle Club have teamed up with Helen Barrett BHSAI Int SM in order to deliver a 6 week training course that will deliver the basics on riding and horse welfare. The course will be aimed at meeting the standards required for the BRC test Riding and Welfare 1.
The BRC test’s are a qualification recognised by the BHS, they are a means for riders of all levels to get involved improve your knowledge and skills and to walk away with a qualification at the end of it.
Area 4 Horse Trails
Area 4 Horse Trails - Breckenbrough, Thirsk
Sunday 17th june.
The Area Horse Trials will once again be upon us before we know it, I would like to organise team training at the venue for anyone who is interested in representing our club at this event.
We are allowed on course no later than 2 weeks ahead of the event so i will be looking to sort some Cross Country training ahead of this.
If you are interested in participating in the event and/or would like to join us in a training session please contact me asap.
The Area Horse Trails consists of 3 levels:
Novice with fences of 90cm
Intermediate with fences of 1metre
Open with fences of 1m 10cm
The Event will be run over the British Eventing Tracks.

Norland Show
Norland show will be on the 27th of May at Shaw Lane Fields, Norland.

Also calling for all trophies to be returned either drop them off at Moody Mares in Mytholmroyd or arrange to bring them on the day.
